I am Polish and have been living in the UK for about 16 years. Having worked in Poland, France, Northern Ireland and England, in many different fields (social care, health care, education) I have gained personal and professional experience which - although not free from challenges - helps me in understanding the issues connected with migration, adaptation, different cultures, languages, backgrounds, loneliness, belonging, identity etc. Supporting people going through difficult times has been always at the heart of my work. Eventually i decided I could best do this by becoming a counsellor. This role - unlike all my previous positions with their constrains and constant distractions - allows me to focus completely on my client, giving them my undivided attention throughout the session. This is so different compared to the environment most of us inhabit - the world of noise, bustle, pressure with constant demands on our time and energy.
I gained the diploma in Humanistic counselling from Metanoia Institute, BSc in Humanistic counselling from Middlesex University, and a Certificate in Couples Counselling.
I am an Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I continuously expand my knowledge and undergo regular supervision.
